The Celestial Brush Body is the player's sole interface with the world. In gameplay, you draw symbols directly on the screen using the brush, and each completed symbol triggers a Brush Mark effect. The ink depletes with each stroke and regenerates over time or at specific locations, so managing ink flow is a core strategic consideration.

In combat, Brush Marks like Fire, Lightning, and Earth create area-of-effect damage, while more precise marks can target individual enemies. The visual effect is a burst of elemental energy — flames erupting, bolts of lightning crackling, or the ground splitting open. In exploration, marks like Water fill dry channels, Wind pushes objects or clears debris, and Bridge or Gate constructs temporary passages. Puzzle-solving often requires chaining multiple marks in sequence, such as using Water to reveal a hidden symbol, then Fire to ignite it.

The brush also enables the Sun and Moon marks, which shift the time of day and can be critical for certain encounters or environmental triggers.
